Asatru Kindred

Who we are: We are a FolkishAsatru kindred. Meaning we are Asatru because our ancestors were. The majority of our members are Scandinavian. We have members in Two Harbors and Grand Marais .We are also proud members of NorthGeist Clan, Which consists of two Northern Minnesota Kindreds.

What we are about: Our main purpose is to honor the Aesir and Vanir. Another one of our goals is tribe building. We are working hard to give our religion a good public face. We are doers not talkers. We work together to strengthen Asatru as a whole and bring it into the future while preserving its past.

When we meet: We get together every other weekend, sometimes more. We hold Blots (ceremonies) at least four times a year. We do additional Blots as the mood strikes us. Our blots are by invitation only, if you wish to come we must meet you before hand. We often Blot with other kindreds.

New members: We are accepting new members, but we are selective. There is a year long  probationary period, then membership is put to a vote. We are so picky because once you join, your family.

Our viewpoints on certain issues: We are often asked these questions by newcomers to Asatru, while I can not speak for all Asatru, I can speak for my kindred.

Homosexuality: we could care less what you do in your bedroom.

Racism: we will NOT tolerate it!

Other Religions: We believe everyone has the right to believe whatever they want.

Our values: There are nine virtues that we live our lives by courage, truth, honor, fidelity, hospitality, industriousness, self reliance, perseverance. We also value family and, good true friends .
